Path Input: Better Swipe Keyboard App Reviews

I have used swipe keyboards for a long time, and I have many different apps. This keyboard seems to work well, and I like that the keys are big. But for its high price, I think there is a lot of room for improvement. 1) why you require full access if we add user words to the dictionary? Thats insane, i see no reasoning behind it. Full access is very unsafe. Some keyboards even automatically add words to the dictionary. 2) i wish you had more languages. 3) you could have copy and paste in the toolbar. So in conclusion, I think the swipe works pretty well, but for its price, theres room for improvement.

I have been using another "swipe“ keyboard since its release. I thought text entry on my iPhone couldnt get any better – until I tried this. I found Path Input to be far superior. It is faster, easier and has many more options. I have deleted the other app and now use this exclusively.

It seems to be pretty accurate and fast compared to andriod swype which i love. If you fix that, i will up you to 5-stars if you email me. thx guys and gals! You coders are incredible!

I just updated the app and now when I try to use it I can only get the "Enable" screen with instructions of how to set it up in settings. I have done that but now only the "Enable" screen comes up. How do I get back to were I can use it? I loved it before the update!

As of iOS 8, Path Input can no longer be used as a note-taking app. If you have existing notes you can export them, but they will all be in one long text that you can either email or message to yourself. But then you have to go through and cut/paste them back into individual notes in a different note app.

Crash all the time and when it does you cant write at all, keyboard is gone. Happens a lot. Cant believe I paid for that.

I use this app since iOS 7 and now the systemwide keyboard is amazing. Just a few thoughts. There should be an option to backup user words in the cloud. Also dark mode is faded grey. It needs to be darker, close to black and transparent. So that it feels more native.

its terrible on the iPad and iphone absolutely terrible just so tedious and much easier to just type somewhere else would not recommend this It wont recognize a word and wont let u put it in letter by letter because it will automatically fill in a word as u type Much easier just to type it on a regular keyboard

Downloaded program and followed non existent instructions. Guess what? Doesnt work Total ripoff

Why anyone thinks swiping one letter at a time is better than typing with ten fingers at a time (if your screen size allows it), I have no idea. Even typing with two thumbs is better than this. For one thing, dragging from one letter to another is SLOOOOOWWW, and for another, your finger while dragging tends to get in the way of your view of the keyboard. Swipe typing has got to be the dumbest idea since the automatic grape peeler.

I was joyfully using what I thought was the best swipe keyboard for the iPhone. 2 days ago it no longer functioned. Despite following detailed directions that was supposed to let the Notes App take full advantage of the swipe style keyboard, Notes just doesnt recognize the change made in settings. I know I only paid about 2$ for Oath Input, but what is their excuse not to support it? Obviously, I was on the wrong path.

I was so excited for IOS 8 as Id heard Path Input would become a keyboard. So disappointed it doesnt work. Text screen froze repeatedly for a week & I finally had to delete it. Please fix the bugs ASAP!

The keyboard is useful and makes one hand typing easy and fast. Fairly accurate and fast predictive text. However, the keyboard constantly disappears and makes apps like Messages and Safari crash. So I had to delete it.

I was so excited to have swype on the iPhone. This app is garbage and it locks up all the time. The keyboard will just become inoperable and a phone reboot is required. I want my .99 back!

The only issue I have come up with is when I am adding a contact. When I press backspace is deletes a character but then forces the cursor to the next field. Thank you!

I liked this keyboard a lot at first, but two problems meant I eventually had to stop using it. First, when you want to temporarily stop swipe typing and switch to single-letter typing—for an unusual word or name, for example—the keyboard is ultra sensitive and throws in a bunch of acronyms instead of individual letters. And second, it frequently made the Messages app crash. So, sad as it made me, I had to revert back to the default keyboard. Would love to use it again though if the problems get fixed.

Not perfect but every bit as good as Swype and SwiftKey overall. It crashes less, properly has a dark and light variant that shows appropriately, and has a decent correction system. It could be better at predictions and especially in typing (not swiping) it is wrong a lot especially when you type in the space between keys. But it may be the best current option for someone who wants something like the standard iOS keyboard plus swipe.

Please fix this keyboard!!!!! When typing the keys hardly respond to the correct key that was tapped on. Also can you please add predictive text that works like the stock iOS 8 keyboard, please make the languages integrated. Into one keyboard rather than having multiple keyboards, and please add an emoji extension built into the keyboard to save the hassle of constantly switching between keyboards. I hope you listen and accomplish this, Thanks!! I know path input has the potential to be the best keyboard ever!!

Generally, Path Input has worked well with text-based apps but will not work well if you try to swipe an unusual word or number, in which case you just have to peck. The second complaint with Path Input is that it is not compatible with login screens. Swiping is unpractical and the login screen becomes corrupted and hides the User ID and password fields This is not correctable and requires closing the web page and switching back to the standard iOS English keyboard for login entries. Summary: Path Input needs more work before it can be used as a full time replacement for the iOS keyboard.

I like the design and function, but Ive had it freeze applications (safari, facebook, messages) Hopefully it will get fixed soon
